We are excited to bring you the latest update on the BrooksNET project, the City of Brooks’ very own shared network provider for lightning-fast fibre internet. At Community Network Partners (CNP), we’ve been working diligently alongside the City of Brooks to revolutionize the internet experience, and we are delighted to share the progress of this transformative project.
Construction Progress: Making Strides Towards a Connected City
In the planning phase, our dedicated team divided the City of Brooks into seven zones for construction and installation of the open-access fibre optic network. Currently, we are making significant progress starting from Zone D and working our way towards completion through zones C, A, B, E, G, and finally F to bring the benefits of fibre internet to every home and business in the city.
Zone D & C: Construction of the main fibre optic line is complete in both of these areas. Our crews are now working on connecting the main line directly to customers’ homes, ensuring a true 100% fibre optic network. After this step, the final in-home installation process will be completed.
Zone B: The main construction, including digging and running conduits, is now finished. Our skilled crews are currently pulling the fibre optic lines and splicing them to make the services available to residents and businesses.
Zone A: Active construction is underway in this zone, and upon completion, we will swiftly move to Zones E, G, and F until the entire project is successfully accomplished.

Seamless Installations: Bringing Fibre Internet to Your Doorstep
The momentum doesn’t stop there. We are actively installing fibre internet in homes across the city. Thanks to your overwhelming response and enthusiasm, approximately 500 customers have already signed up through BrooksNET’s exclusive Internet Service Provider, Galaxy Fibre.
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation process, we have partnered with National Technical Field Services (NTFS), a trusted partner with expertise in in-home internet installation and setup. Their skilled team is overseeing the installations, ensuring that you can start enjoying the wonders of fibre internet without any delay.
